Rhode Island native and Mount Pleasant "Kilties" Wrestling standout Sean Soriano (9-5), was just scheduled yesterday by CES MMA to take on Jacob Bohn (5-3) in a featherweight bout at CES MMA 44 at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, RI LIVE on AXS TV May, 12th.
Soriano will be looking to get back in the winners circle after suffering some challenging losses as of late. Soriano still only 27 years old started his career here in the North East going 8-0. Sean captured the then AFO MMA Tittle in October of 2011 (4-0) then fought his only fight in RI for CES MMA in February of 2012. (5-0) Sean trained with Kickboxing coach from Team United Muay Lao William Soukhamthath, Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Tim Burrill, and MMA RI Powerhouse coaches Keith and Pete Jeffrey out of Tri-Force MMA while he was in Rhode Island.
Soriano then made the move to Florida where he still trains with former Blackzillians members and Head Kickboxing coach Henry Hooft at the newly formed Combat Club. While in Florida Sean added 3 more wins with CFA and Captured the CFA World Title in May of 2013 which brought him to 8-0
Soriano was then signed by the UFC in January of 2014. Unfortunately Sean suffered three straight losses to Tatsuya Kawajiri, Chas Skelly and Charles Rosa and was released from the Wolds Largest MMA Promotion.
Soriano was able to take that expereince and #comeback at Legacy FC 48 by knocking out Josh Quayhagen in November of 2015. Then again Sean fell short in 2016 and suffered back-to-back losses to Thomas Webb at Legacy FC 52 and former UFC vet Levan Makashvili at CES MMA 38.
Sorriano who will be standing across the CES MMA Cage againt opponent Jacob Bohn who hails from New York. Jacob who himself is coming off a loss in October of 2016 is looking to get back in the winners circle himself. Prior to Jacob's Loss he was 5-1.
CES MMA 44 headlines its main card on nationally televised AXS TV with a great main event featuring Bellator Vet Matt Bessette (21-7) defending for the second time his featherweight CES MMA World title against Jeremy Spoon (20-3).
