It's rare that Portland is treated to high-caliber combat sports, but this is where Toe 2 Toe Fight Promotions puts their battle flag into the ground. With their debut event among the best shows of 2014, they're looking to pick up where they left off with another night of intense action. Ryan Sanders vs Regiclaudio Kexada Macedo

A dynamic fighter that improves every time out, Ryan Sanders has been sharpening the ax for years at Young’s MMA, and is intent on cleaving through the competition. Sanders is simply phenomenal, having dedicated his time to the craft, with the end result being an answer for every situation that can occur in the cage. His kickboxing is rangy and crisp, with that stunning snap that lanky fighters can de...velop with enough gym time, lighting up his opponents like a torch. With smooth matwork that utilizes that same long-limbed structure, he is equal parts dangerous and elusive on the mat, squirreling through positions and threatening entanglements as will. Truly one of the best and brightest in the region, he’ll bring his elite skills to bear against a deadly opponent.

Cut from the old school Vale Tudo cloth, Regiclaudio Kexada Macedo will show off the brutality of early MMA with the technical flow of the new world. A legitimate BJJ black belt, Kexada has paid his dues in well over a decade in the fight game, and will look to enter the New England MMA scene with the same dominance he had in the hard-nosed Brazilian scene.

These two couldn’t be more different in terms of skill sets, with Sanders being part of the new wave of MMA, learning the art as sport, while Macedo learned under the traditions of favela street fighters in the life-and-death Brazilian fight scene. Sanders has a tremendous tool box and a skill set that is the envy of many fighters in the region, yet Macedo is utterly unshakable, his roots in a system that would make the average fighter cringe in their bloody and unforgiving nature. It’s technical acumen vs brutal combatives in a unique MMA fight you’ll want to be on hand for.
