Vs.

Kin “Kong” Moy

Regional Fight Sports Staff / December 30, 2013

LINCOLN, R.I. (Jan. 24th, 2014) -- CES MMA announces what could be an early fight of the year candidate match-up to kick things off in 2014. Andre Soukhamthath now 7-1 with seven consecutive wins on his resume squaring off against Kin Moy who sports a 4-0 Professional MMA Record as well as a 1-0 Professional Bare Knuckle Boxing Record. Both fighters are coming into this fight with a lot of momentum and both fighters are looking for a finish.

Andre Soukhamthath has become the fighter with the most wins in CES MMA history. With his seven wins in the company’s record books, breaking a tie he once had with fellow Rhode Islander/teammate Todd “The Hulk” Chattelle, Soukhamthath (7-1, 4 KOs) just relocated this past month to Boca Raton, Fla., where he is now training full time with the world renown MMA camp Blackzilians. The camp is famous for helping guide the careers of Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) fighters, Vitor Belfort, Alistair Overeem, Rashad Evans, Abel Trujillo, recently added to the UFC Roster Sean Soriano (whom also is another fellow Rhode Island native), world champion bantamweight boxer Guillermo Rigondeaux and many more. Soukhamthath has been training in Massachusetts and Rhode Island prior to this life changing move representing Tri-Force MMA and cross training at both Lauzons MMA and Sityodtong Boston. As Andre puts it, “Nothing against them, because they've carried me my whole career, but it's hard for me to get guys my size in the gym. Working with the Blackzilians is a big opportunity for me, and I'm going to run with it.”

Kin “Kong” Moy looks to spoil Soukhamthath’s return home from training January 24th, 2014 at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Kin represents Redline Fight Sports located in Boston Massachusetts, and has been with his gym since the beginning of his fight career. Moy (4-0, 3 Submissions, 1-0 Bare Knuckle Boxing) won his last Professional MMA fight in September of 2013 by Guillotine Choke Submission over Kurt Chase Patrick who Soukhamthath TKO’d in February of 2013. Moy impressed CES MMA fans by submitting talented CES MMA fighter Dinis Pavia in the second round of their bout in April of 2013. It seemed that Paiva clearly won the first round, however Moy settled in to secure the finish and got the win.

Both of these fighters Andre” The Asian Sensation” Soukhamthath and Kin “Kong” Moy share a lot in common which makes this fight very appealing on paper. It is an anticipated match-up, and one that might receive not only regional coverage, but, could possibly get some national coverage and attention as well. Both fighters had successful amateur boxing and MMA careers. At one point both fighters where ranked #1 in the northeast region in their respected weight classes. Moy (135 lb, 2011) and Soukhamthath (145 lb. 2012). Both fighters are very well rounded mixed martial arts competitors. Both of these warriors come from great MMA schools and backgrounds.

Watch out Fight Fans, this has “Fight of the year”, “Submission of the year” or “Knock out of the year” written all over it.
